Beached ~a Father's Day Card

Hi there, I hope you all had a great weekend. Our's was very relaxing. We got invited to a cookout on Saturday and anyday that i don't have to cook dinner is a great day for me. then we took the girls' swimming yesterday since it was the last day for the pool to be open. so we had a good family weekend. Needless to say i didn't get any crafting done till today.
I did however get two challenges done with this one card. Nina at There's Magic in the Air is giving this awesome digi image as a freebie(Thanks Nina!). The challenge is to use it with a gate fold style card. all details for this challenge can be found here.

The inside has a pocket to hold a gift card for Dad which brings me to the next challenge. Over at Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenges, they are holding their very first challenge. The challenge is in honor of Father's Day next month in Australia we were to make something for dad. It has to include the color brown and have metal on it. Well that's it for me today. I hope you all stop by tomorrow. Have a Great Night!!
hugs,
Rachel

Winter Wonderland challenge

Hello! This weeks theme at the Winter Wonderland challenge blog was none other than "Winter Wonderland". we are to show a wintery scene on our cards. I went out of the box with my colors but i just felt like doing something a little different. lol. now i don't know if you can tell in the picture but i matted my image onto a brown scallop oval, and it's like brown on brown why? but it looks real neat IRL because it is raised up on pop dots. Now, don't forget to visit the Winter Wonderland blog and help welcome their first Guest Designer Beth and her wonderful interpretation of this week's challenge.
Well i'm off to continue working on more projects. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a Great night!!
hugs,
Rachel

Flutterby Wednesday #68

Hi there!! Today's card was made for the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge #68 over at Danni's Dreams. The challenge this week was "no dp". so instead of dp i used the floral screen embossing folder and embossed my back panel and sponged on some cocoa ink over the embossed image. i added my ribbon, butterfly and matted image and i'm done. very simple, but i like the way it turned out. Well that's it for me today, i hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Hi there friends!! My card for today was made for the sketch challenge at Delightful Sketches. I used last week's Friday Freebie, Beach Maggie . Isn't she just a cutie! you can't tell by the picture but i printed out two pictures and cut out the flower on her hat and wing of the butterfly and pop dotted them to the original picture to give it dimension. I hope you enjoy her and thanks so much for stopping by.
