Happy Birthday Taylor!

Can you believe i don't have a challenge card to show you today? So i decided to show you the birthday card/ gift holder i made for my best friends daughter. It's actually a cd holder but since her gift is pretty thin i think this will work just fine. The tutorial can be found here. I found this clear stamp set of Hannah Montana the other day while out shopping and since my oldest daughter loves Hannah Montana this was a must have set for me. and since taylor likes guitars it worked out even better for me. Okay so, I followed the tutorial using paper from my Rockstar paper pack. I then made a card out of white cardstock and random stamped the flowers that also come in this set. I stamped the guitar on a separate piece of paper, colored,GLITTERED, (can't seem to put down the glitter) cut out and added to my card with dimensionals. i printed her name on the computer and punched out with my oval punches and added to the card with some of the oval hanging off. I layed my ribbon down, adhered my card on top slid one side of the ribbon under the guitar handle and tied a bow. the ribbon keeps the card shut. now all she has to do is untie the bow grab the overhang on her name tag and open her card. I'm hoping she likes it. Wow, this post is becoming very long so i will wish you all a great evening and thanks so much for stopping by.

HM&F challenge #7

Hi there! I hope everyone is having a great Monday. Today's card i made for the House of Mouse and Friends challenge #7-Tags. I made my whole card one big tag. I used my tag template and lined up the scored edge of my card to one side, traced and cut out leaving the scored edge intact. I just think this is the cutest image of the little mouse asleep on uninflated balloons and the the other mouse about to pop the aired up balloon with a tack. but hey who better to scare the crap out of you than a friend right? well i got a kick out of them and i hope you do to. Have a great day!! thanks for stopping by.

I Scream You Scream/ ATS DT challenge #19

All That Scraps challenge #19 is to make a pop up card. For my pop up card i used this little cutie from C.C. Designs-Sweet Treats set. He reminds me of my two smallest girls when they get their hands on ice cream-what a mess!lol. I stamped and colored my bear and added glitter to the ice cream for sparkle because i seem to be in a glitter phase right now. I've been using glitter on pretty much everything. I used my nestabilities to cut out my bear and for the scallop edging around my circle. I don't know if you can tell but the pattern paper i used also has glittered circles. (it came that way, not my doing) The inside of my card i random stamped the ice cream cone and added my sentiment (i scream you scream we all scream for ice cream) both also come in the set. i stamped an extra cone and cut out the top, added glitter and pop dotted it to my sentiment. Okay, well i think that's going to be it for today i have to get my girls ready for school tomorrow. I hope you all have a great rest of your day and thank you for stopping by.

pool party

Okay so i'm a bit late with this challenge that i wanted to participate in for Storage Units, Ink & More's Whatchadoin Wednesday. It is a sketch challenge and i just can't seem to pass up a sketch challenge. For this card i used the Get Your Goggles On stamp set. I random stamped some of the images included in the set on the middle panel and stamped the girl image and punched out her head with my circle punch. I wanted her to stand out a bit more than the other images behind her so i added glitter to her sunglasses and tank top. so pretty and sparkly IRL.

All Occasion Card

Good Morning everyone! Today I'm showing you an All Occasion Card i made the other day. I got the image from High Hopes awhile back and decided i should ink it up. I just love the hat hanging from the trellis and i'm a huge fan of sunflowers so this was a must have stamp for me. i also like how you can pretty much add any sentiment you want and it would fit perfectly. As usual i added sparkle with my stardust glitter pen on the white daisy's and in the middle of my sunflowers i just can't seem to make it show up in the picture. Well i hope you enjoy, and i hope to be back later with another post. Thanks so much for stopping by and have a very great day!!!

Feeder Friends

Good morning, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Today i have my House Mouse and Friends challenge #5 card to show you. The challenge for today was Paper Piecing. The purple flowers are all paper pieced using Paper Garden paper from ctmh. This was the perfect image to paper piece, I've stamped and colored this image before and never used it because i didn't like my coloring on the flowers. Well now i have pretty flowers and didn't have to color a thing, woohoo! the band i used in the middle of the card is the same paper used for the flowers. the rhinestones i used on the side are rhinestones that fell off my daughters shirt awhile back. haha. hey what good would they have been in the trash, right? i used clear glaze on the glass part of the feeder and stardust glitter pen on the metal part of the feeder. of course you can't tell here but it looks so nice IRL. I also used the black glaze pen for the birds eyes and boy did that make a difference. This was the first time i used the black glaze pen, so i will be using that alot more. ok, well my dryer is calling me, so i guess thats my cue to get back to work. Thanks so much for stopping by, I hope you all have a great day.

On a Budget

Good Morning! Today i have a tag to show you for the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge. The challenge was to try to make something for under $2.00, stamps and coloring pencils & pens excluded. for my tag, i used holiday red organdy ribbon (.20) I used a scrap piece of white cardstock but i will still count it (.30) and i also used a glitter pen for the white on his hat, some of the ball and silver tip of the ball for extra sparkle so i will also add that (.10) so i made this tag for about 60 cents generously padded i think. I had so much fun with this little mouse in the christmas ball, i think you will be seeing more made with it around christmas. I hope he brings a smile to your face as he did me. Have a great Day! thanks for stopping by.

BACK-TO-SCHOOL

Yay! today is wednesday which means an ATS challenge. Today's challenge is a theme challenge-Back To School. I decided to have my little back-to-school bear sitting on a rug in the library hitting the books. For my card i used this cute little bear from C.C. Designs Bear Hugs. I took the bow from the gifts from Lucky's Christmas Wish, colored it pink and adhered to the top of her head and now i have a little girl bear. I stamped the books from the tassel time set from stampin up, cut them out and pop dotted the open book to the front of my bear. I used a 1/4 size punch punched two circles and shaved off one side and added to each side of the book, and now it looks like she's holding the book. The little rug i used for her to sit on was made with the large solid shadow spot also from C.C. Designs. I took the other two books and just spread them out in front of her. I made a pocket on this card so that i could slide the library card in. back to school was stamped with my Storytime lowercase alphabet set from ctmh, added a ribbon and a library clip and there you have it. This was such a fun card to make. Well i hope you have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Treasure life

I made this 3x3 notecard box set using the new Sept. Stamp of the Month from CTMH, Treasure Life. I was asked by my friend if i would make something to show for her stamp club and was inspired to make this set after seeing Jen's recipe box set found here. The paper i used for the box is the creative basics paper from ctmh that i am sad to say is no longer available. For the cards i used both the creative basics and silhouette paper packet. I think the combination of the paper and this stamp set makes this box set very elegant. The tutorial for this box set can be found here.
