Child of God

I just adore this set Child of God from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps! My daughter made her First Holy Communion this year with alot of her friends and i didn't make a single card because i didn't have any religious sets. So when i saw this one i knew i had to have it. I especially like it because it not only comes with this boy kneeling but also a girl and some religious verses and sentiments. This set would be great for Scrapbook pages which i need to get started on, Holy Communion or Confirmation cards. I know this set is going to be getting alot of use here. Because this is a card for a boy, i TRIED to make this pretty simple. It could have probably gone without the ribbon, but hey what can i say -i love ribbon. Okay, well thats gonna do it for today, got lots of halloween stuff to get together. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Mini Pizza Box

Today is another All That Scraps challenge #24, Mini Pizza Boxes. These boxes are absolutely adorable and soooo fun to make. The tutorial for this box can be found here
For my little box i used the cute bees and sentiment from the Bear Hugs stamp set from C.C. Designs. Now, still sticking to my quest of finding cute holders for gift cards i modified my pizza box and added an insert inside to hold my gift card. I figured after they use the gift card they can take out the insert and put whatever they want in it. I really like how it turned out. I hope you give this box a try they are so simple to make. Well that's it for today, i hope you enjoy this box as much as much as i enjoyed making it. Thanks so much for visiting and have a GREAT day!!

Ornament Gift Card holder

The All That Scraps DT challenge #23 is a color challenge. We are to make something using Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive, and Sahara Sand. since i don't own any of those i used Vineyard Berry, Olive, and Grey Flannel. I was looking through my papercrafts magazine for some ideas for gift cards, we have so many teens within our family and they are so hard to buy for it's like anything we like they hate so gift cards it is. The good thing is now i get to create fun holders. Anyway i came across this ornament gift card holder and thought hey i can do this, so here's how it turned out. to make the ornament i used my coluzzle to cut out two large circles and ran them through my cuttlebug using the D'vine swirls embossing folder. i measured my gift card against the circles and using my coluzzle cut out a piece of the top. I adhered my circles together with scor-tape leaving the middle free so my card can slide in and out. i made my ornament topper using the round tab punch and adhered it to the gift card, then added the top piece of my ornament to it. i then slid the card in the holder and decorated. i used the holly and berries stamp to cover up the seam. be sure to only adhere to the top piece of ornament or the card won't slide out. Okay clear as mud? Well i hope you give it a try, they come out really neat and if you do be sure to post a link in the comments section so i can take a look at your wonderful creation. Thank you so much for stopping by. have a great day!!!

Trick~or~Treat!!

Yay! It's Friday which means another Friday's Sketchers challenge. Today's fabulous sketch was from the USA's Claudia Rosa. When i first saw the sketch i thought wow this is a simple one, and i had so much fun i made two cards with it. I will post the other card at a later time. for this card i used a stamp from Stamp Oasis that i got from Rubbernecker. aren't these just the cutest little trick~or~treaters? I embossed my center panel with my spiderweb embossing folder and pop dotted my image onto it. I used a piece of web and spider printed dp from my minds eye, added oversized eyelets, and made my sentiment with my doodle alphabet letters. not too much to it, but i really like how it turned out. well i hope you enjoy yet another halloween card and aren't getting too sick of them. Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a wonderful day!!!

Team Spirit Sadie

Hi there, today i have to show you Sadie, one of Jen Ofiana's new designs. The actual stamp is Sadie holding balloons seen here. when i saw her i loved the fact that she would be used for lots of birthday cards. but then i thought what else could she be used for then i noticed her skirt and thought cheerleader. now all i needed was pom poms, i was about to purchase a cheer set from my ctmh catalog just for the pom poms then realized i had a snowman set with snowflakes similar to the poms and better yet i already owned it! so when sadie arrived yesterday i went straight to work. I inked her up and with a q-tip took the ink off the heart on her shirt, stamped her on white cardstock, colored her with our high school team colors, cut her out and left off the balloons she was holding. I took an m from one of my alphabet sets and stamped it in place of the heart. i stamped and cut out the snowflakes and added glitter to her poms, the m, and her skirt. and pop dotted the pom poms to her hands and presto the cutest little cheerleader! i made a tag with my tag template and random stamped GO TEAM! then pop dotted sadie to it, added ribbon and done. My plan is to make a scrapbook page of my daughter who has been a mini maverick cheerleader for the past 4 years, and use this as an element on her page. Okay i know this is quite a long post but if you haven't given up reading by now, thanks so much for visiting and have a terrific day!

Halloween Treats

Hi There! Today's challenge at All That Scraps was Halloween Treats. I so loved this challenge because i get a kick out of making little gifties with candy and stuff in them, i took a bottle with a cork top and filled it with candy corns. I took some halloween wire ribbon and tied a bow around the neck of the bottle. I used my cute little dracula from the spooky spooky spooky set from c.c.designs/all that scraps, cut him out with my nestabilities and adhered him to the bottle. I also took some spider rings and hooked them to my ribbon to add a little more spookiness, but how can you be spooked by this adorable little bear, right? I'm planning on giving this to my stamp night hostess so i hope she likes it. Well thats it for today, thank you so much for stopping by. Have a great night.

Halloween house of mouse

Happy Monday! and since it's monday that means another House, Mouse & Friends challenge. Today's challenge #8 is halloween. Well unfortunately i don't own any halloween house of mouse stamps as of yet so i had to improvise. I used my stamp called happy pops, and the only thing i changed was the name on the lollipop holder, it's supposed to say happy pops so i stamped another holder cut out the square turned it over and stamped trick or treat and adhered it back to the jar. i stamped spider webs onto the panel to give it a little more spookiness, but hey it's house of mouse way too cute to be scary. I didn't add any embellishments because i thought the background paper was pretty busy. so simple it is. Well i hope you all enjoy bumble enjoying his halloween candy. Thank you so much for stopping by.

YaY, its Friday! It's an exciting friday at that, tonight is our High School football homecoming. So we just got back from the homecoming parade, it was nice, my girls came home with two baseball hats full of candy so they had a blast!LOL. I was able to get my card done for Friday's Sketchers challenge #22. The hostess this week was Carole from England, i love using ribbon so this sketch was a fun one for me. I used my Spooky Spooky Spooky stamp set from C.C. Designs. These stamp sets are so adorable. I also used my new prismacolor pencils which was alot of fun but i still need quite a bit of practice especially in the shading department, but i'm sure i'll have alot of fun practicing. Well i'm off to go get ready for the football game. GO MAVERICKS!!! thank you so much for stopping by and have a great weekend.

it's another challenge card

Hi there! today is the all that scraps challenge #20. I can't believe i actually got it done already. Today's challenge for All That Scraps was a sketch challenge by Amy Rysavy-too cute. For my card i used all C.C. Designs Sugarplum sets, The cutie patootie girl from olivia's birdies, the sentiment from the sentiments set, and the flower she's holding from the scenery set. I paper pieced her tennis shoes and her shirt and popped up her flower with dimensionals. I also added glitter on her hair clips and middle of the flower but it's hard to see. for the green background panels i embossed with my swiss dots embossing folder. This was such a fun card to make, i hope you enjoy it. Thanks so much for stopping by.
