Happy Anniversary

The other day as i was blogging i ran across a site called Pink Poison Stamps and saw some of the most adorable stamps! In my collection of stamps i must admit i have not one single wedding set in there..
until now that is. I just adore this little couple from the Caketopper set so i decided to make an anniversary card for my husband with it. I gave it a Christmas feel by using Basic Grey's new Wassail paper since our anniversary is in December. I colored them with my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. for the red accents i used my Cranberry Exclusive inks marker to brighten them up. I colored her dress with a stardust glitter pen and the leaves in her hair are colored in with a gold glitter pen to add sparkle.
Thank you for taking a look, and have a wonderful day!

Love

I finally got to play with the Friday's sketchers #33 sketch. I really liked this sketch from Jacqueline from the Netherlands, i am definately putting this in my sketch file. The cute little snowbunnie i used is from C.C. Designs digi downloads Snow Bunnies. If downloads aren't your thing they also have them in a stamp set. If i can swing it i usually get both, mainly because with the digi images i can shrink or blow up my images to suit the project i'm working on. I colored and cut out my image and pop dotted her onto the mat that i made with the labels 1 nestabilities and ran half of it through the cuttlebug using the swiss dots folder. The sentiment "LOVE" is a rub on. i added my ribbon, some small self adhesive pearls and done.
I thank you for stopping by and hope you enjoyed this card as much as i did making it. Have a wonderful day!!!

Love You!

Merry Christmas Everyone! I know a day late, but i finally got somewhat caught up and finally got to post!! YaY! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday. I know your probably thinking Christmas just ended and now i'm posting Valentines cards. Actually this is the December stamp of the month for CTMH and i just love it, it makes such an awesome background stamp so i had to use it. I also used the cutie patootie bear from C.C.Designs stamp set "Bear Hugs". I colored him in using my prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I found the heart shaped jewel in one of my princess sticker packs in my stash and placed it in his hand. I think it all goes together nicely, don't you?
Well, thank you for stopping by and taking a peek. Have a wonderful night!!

Teacher Gift

Good Morning, so how is your day going? Mine is great so far i'm actually getting projects done FINALLY!! I found this small clear pail at our LSS and decorated it for my daughter's fourth grade teacher. I filled it with christmas cookies and candied pretzels, i think it will go over well don't you?
Of coarse i just had to use the C.C.Designs Itzie Inkies Winter Bear set, aren't they just adorable? I colored and then cut them out and pop dotted them onto my striped band around the pail. The pattern paper i used is from My Mind's Eye. I just love their paper! For the trees i just cut them out of a scrap piece of pattern paper and pop dotted them onto the can. I used my circle nestabilites and cut out a piece of the same paper and pop
dotted it to the middle of my lid and added the cute little snowman between the trees.

Well, I'm off to go finish up some more projects (finger's crossed) I hope you all have a GREAT and WONDERFUL day!!! Thanks for taking a look!!

Naughty or Nice? List

Hi there, how was your weekend? Ours is cold and windy Ugh! but my husband and I did go out of town yesterday and got the rest of our shopping done, so it was a productive weekend. Speaking of shopping, as i was blog hopping awhile back i came across Christina's blog Flower's and Ink and saw her cute Christmas shopping Organizer complete with a Tutorial, how great is that! So i thought it would be perfect to make and take with me Christmas shopping and i must say this is probably the first time i was ever organized while shopping. I had everything i needed right at my fingertips, no digging for my list at the bottom of my purse every time i went into a store. all my receipts in one spot and i ALWAYS had a pen!! how cool is that.
For my shopping organizer i used Ctmh Cranberry Cardstock and i used Basic Grey's Wassail pattern paper found here. My Santa and Rudolph is from C.C.Designs Sugarplum's NorthPole set. For santa's beard i used liquid applique and let it dry by itself to give it more texture and for Rudolph's nose i used red stickles. The scroll i used for santa's list is a Ctmh stamp from a retired set. On the inside i used my scallop and 1.25 punch from SU! for my pocket i used CoCoa cardstock from Ctmh and embossed it with the D'vine swirls folder and my cuttlebug. the sentiment, receipt and gift list was made using my word program. I just added a pen in the middle and i was ready to go shopping. If you are a very unorganized shopper as i am i so urge you to try this. It sure saved me a huge headache! Well i hope you all had a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!!

A gift for you/ ATS DT challenge #30

This week's All That Scraps DT challenge #30 is to make a gift card holder. A few YEARS back i was blog hopping and ran across this cute gift card holder. I took down the measurements and never even wrote down the blog or anything, so i have no idea who to credit for this idea (so sorry). I so love this idea and have used this holder quite a bit for birthdays. For this holder i used the Swell Noel pattern paper from K& Co. these colors are some of my favorites and all put together on one sheet of paper, it can't get any better than that. The image is C.C. Designs Digi Downloads Snow bunnies. just love love love them!!! They also have them in a stamp set if that is the route you would rather go. The Gingersnap snow bunnies in the stamp set do not come with wings and a halo but the wings and halo can be purchased separately. The download comes with both. so so cute!! (If you would like to see a close up just click on the image) I hope you all enjoy this adorable Gingersnap Snow Bunny and i plan on showing you some other items with the other 2 snow bunnies. Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT night!!

Winter Wonderland

Hi there! Today i have a card for Amy R's friday sketch #40. For this sketch i used a C.C. Design Digi Download, SweetPea and Tiger. Okay now if you are saying a download i don't think so, let me tell you they are awesome. When i first saw them i thought the same thing but once i bought one and was able to change their sizes for whatever project i was working on i was addicted. I even print them on printer paper and use them for coloring pages for my girls, they get so excited to be using the same image as mommy. okay onto the details, i used my Ctmh color pencils and prismacolor pencils, for the snowballs i used the pearls from the pretties kit from SU!, then i added glitter for some sparkle. The pattern paper is ctmh's Everlasting paper pkt.
the sentiment is also from Ctmh but can't seem to find the name of the set. Well i hope you enjoy SweetPea and i will be back later tonight with the ATS challenge project. Thank you for stopping by!! Have a great rest of your day!

I Wanna Be a Rock Star!!

Today's card is for the Friday Sketchers #31 challenge, sponsored by Cards of Maria. This fabulous sketch is from Claudia from USA. for this card i used the Awesome Rockstar image from the Glam Girls III set from C.C. Designs. The pattern paper is from the Piggy Tales line that i found at All That Scraps. The black pattern paper is from DCWV's paper pack "Rockstar." I added a few clear sparkles to glitz it up a little. My Rockstar's glasses are colored in with a glitter pen and so is her guitar, so there is some sparkle going on here, just not so much in this picture. Well, i'm so glad i got to participate in this challenge because it's been awhile. Well i hope you enjoy and i thank you for stopping by. Have WONDERFUL night!!!

All Boxed Up

THIS POST HAS BEEN EDITED SINCE CAROLYN HAS ALREADY RECEIVED HER GIFT. Thank you!! :0)

Today i actually got one of my Christmas gifts finished. It actually went very well seeing as how i didn't even know how i wanted it to look i was just making things up as i went along. I used Lauren Meader's "All Boxed up" Timeless Templates. these are so cool. instead of using two pockets for cards and envelopes i only used one and made file folders for it. on the other side i matted it and made a slit to slide in my notebook. On the box side i made a small calendar with my nestabilities. The calendar was printed off the Crafty Secrets website, i cut them out using my circle nestability and matted onto a scallop circle made with the scallop nestability. I used scor-pal tape to adhere everything so that it would all stay put and not fall apart. On the front frame i am going to put the recipients name but since she checks my blog i left her name for later. A pen will go in the middle and i just noticed i never added it on-oops!
Well i thank you for stopping by, and have a GREAT night!!

Warm Hoooliday Wishes!

Hi there Everyone! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving. Now Christmas is just around the corner, WoW!! I just wanted to post something real quick, since i haven't had a chance to participate in any of the challenges for a couple of weeks. Gosh, i miss them. Once the holidays are over i 'm hoping to have a chance to play. This cute little owl is part of the Q.T.Hooty set from Pink Cat Studio. I used the flourish from the Baroque Motifs set from SU! for the branches that he's sitting on,(love how that worked out so well) and i added red sparkles to give the "branches" some color.
Thanks for stopping by and Have a teriffic night!!

another card-a-lope

Well i promised you would be seeing more of these card-a-lopes (tutorial found here) quite a few birthdays these next few months. I needed to make one for a boy so i decided to use the C.C. Designs "Eric and Chrissy go prehistoric." I used Basic Grey's Archaic pattern paper for the background it just goes together so well it was like it was made for this set. I stamped the dinosaur, bird and tree and cut them out and pop dotted them onto my main panel, so there is alot of dimension going on here. For the inside i used the mosaic embossing folder to give my panel some texture. Well i sure hope he likes it.
Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a GREAT night!!

HM&F Challenge #14

Happy Friday Everyone!! This week's House Mouse & Friends challenge #14 is All About Christmas. So i used these cute little mice all tangled up in Christmas lights. They so remind me of myself when i used to have to untangle my lights before i put them on my tree. lol. Anyway, for this card instead of adding a Christmas tree i used a pattern paper from Basic Grey with trees all over. The sentiment is a little hard to see, but it says:"Trim the tree, light the lights, Christmas time is just in sight."
Well just a short post for today, i PLAN on getting some more challenges done this weekend, but lets see what happens. Thanks for the visit and i hope you all have a GREAT friday.

Sweet baby card

I just love this little bear from C.C. Designs, i seem to always be reaching for him. or shall i say in this case her. I love the color combination of browns and pinks and polka dots are just icing on the cake. For this card i stamped my little bear, colored him with my prismacolor pencils and oms. The blocks belonged to a sticker border i just cut them off and added them in front with pop dots. For the background i used my swiss dots embossing folder, but instead of having the dots coming outward i turned it over i guess making it looked pierced, or not i don't know i just wanted a different look. lol. I think this would make a cute baby card for either a shower or a birthday, don't you think?

Well this is going to be a short post for tonight. Thank you for stopping by, I love it when you visit!! Have a Great night!

Christmas Fairy/ATS DT challenge #26

This weeks challenge for All That Scraps Design Team Challenge #26 is a Christmas Card showcase. The challenge is to make a Christmas card that could be easily mass produced. For this card i used the C.C. Designs Digi download Angels Everywhere. On the download they come with halos so they are angels but since i cut her out and pop dotted her to my matt i left out the halo and made her into a fairy. I used my Deck The Halls acrylic stamp set from CTMH, stamped, colored and cut out the poinsetta and pop dotted it to her hands. I added glitter to her bow, skirt, and poinsetta and also added clear sparkles to the inside of the flower. so lots of sparkle going on IRL. This is also the other card i sent in to our LSS Christmas card contest. There are quite a few little angels in this download so lots more cards coming using them. They are just too cute to put down. Be sure to check out the All That Scraps Gallery for more Christmas card samples. The DT did a great job, lots of inspiration there if you need ideas. I hope you all have a great night, thanks for stopping by i sure appreciate you taking the time to take a look.

Jolly O'l Saint Nick

Our stamp group got invited by our LSS to participate in a Christmas card contest with the prizes being gift certificates to her store, Hey turn down a chance to win free paper and embellishments? ya right! So i'm giving it a go and if they don't win, then it was a good excuse to put aside the laundry for a bit to stamp-lol. for this card i tried to keep the layout simple. I used the Magic and Wonder set from SU! ( i just love Santa) after i colored him in i added lots of sparkle on his suit. I'm hoping to post the other card this afternoon. Thanks so much for stopping and taking a look. Have a Wonderful day!!!

Friends make Life Blossom

Good Morning!! I made this card for Amy Rysavy's Friday Sketch #36. For this card i used Amy's new set Build a Holiday for the flower pot and stems of the flowers. I'm really having fun with this set, i'm challenging myself to find more ways to use it other than for the holidays. I paperpieced the flowers for my pot, added some colored rhinestones to the centers and pop dotted them to the stems. I matted my image and adhered it to my base card. I used my embossing folder for the background and used a punch for the 3 flowers in the circles. I added my sentiment and it's finished. Pretty simple card, but i really like how it came out. This is such a neat sketch amy came up with, i so encourage you all to try it. Thank you so much for stopping by and have a Wonderful rest of your day!!!

House of Mouse & Friends ~junk Challenge

For this weeks HM&F challenge #13 we were supposed to use something on our card that we found in our junk drawer. Well with all the junk in my drawer i didn't really have anything that would work with the HM images i have until i ran across a bottle of expired aspirin. (YIKES!) of coarse i proceeded to throw it in the trash and continue to figure out what to use for the challenge. As i was going through my images,(for the 10th time) i came across this image and thought about the bottle i just threw out. I grabbed the bottle out of the trash, pulled the cotton out and wahlah(???) this card came to life. Hey, i did find it in the junk drawer first-that should count right?lol.

For this card i stamped the image and then stamped the aspirin bottle image again. I cut it out, colored and added it to my main image with dimensionals. I gave my ice cube some color and added some liquid glass to give it more of a melting ice cube look. i matted my image and adhered it to my embossed base card, added my sentiment and bandaid and done. the bandaid has nothing to do with this image but it was so cute i just had to use it. Okay, i can hear the "enough already"-that is if you are still reading. I hope these two bring a smile to your face like they do me. Thanks for Looking and Have a Wonderful Day!!

Happy Holidays!

This weeks fabulous Friday Sketch #27 is from Kristine from Norway. For this card i used CTMH's Merry Pursuits acrylic set. I covered my base card with CTMH's Evensong collection creative basics dp and embossed a square of white cardstock with my D'vine swirls embossing folder, tore diagonally and placed on the corners of my card. I sponged them with cranberry ink to give them a bit of color. and added my ribbon. For my image i stamped one of the elves and random stamped some snowflakes around him. I used SU!'s chunky white glitter (first time i used it-love it) to give his snowman some sparkle. I matted on cranberry cardstock and adhered him to my card. The Happy Holidays circle stamp is from SU's Riveting set. I punched it and the green mat out with my circle punches, i then got a white snowflake eyelet and added to the middle of the sentiment but didn't like how it looked so i got a silver snowflake brad and added it on top of the eyelet and it actually ended up looking pretty neat so i left it that way. Well i'm off to get some chores done and get to work on another challenge card and hopefully get it posted today. Thanks so much for stopping by and Have A GREAT day!!!

Julie wrote up an awesome tutorial for her card-a-lope on

I have 2 of my Goddaughters birthdays just around the corner and they're both teenagers so since i don't shop for teenagers, i'm sure they'll be thrilled with cash plus they get a little something from the heart too. so just click on the link above and visit julie's blog for the tutorial, it's so simple and a lot of fun
to make and i'm sure you'll love it, so give it a try. Thanks so much Julie for sharing your tutorial with us. Have a GREAT day everyone!!!

Rub a dub dub -a cutie in the tub

I finally inked up My Rubber Ducky stamp set from c.c. designs that was spending too much time in a drawer uninked. I really liked the way it came out, seeing as how it almost ended up in the wastebasket. For the bubbles i used different sized pearls from SU! pretties kit. for the lather i used liquid applique. When i saw this martha stewart dp i instantly thought of bubbles so i thought this image would go perfectly. I cut out some of the circles from the dp to act as bubbles floating about the card. I did use the doodle alphabet from ctmh for the rub a dub dub inside the bubbles. the one that comes with the set was too small for what i had in mind. i added prisma glitter around the floating bubbles and pop dotted them to my card. Well i hope you all have a great weekend and i hope to post more throughout the weekend (fingers crossed) so i hope you stop back again.

Merry Pursuits

Okay so i can't put this paper away, Once again i used the Evensong Creative Basics dp for this ornament card. to make the card i folded my cardstock and used my circle coluzzle to cut out a circle, leaving a small piece on the side uncut. I cut out the same size circle from my dp and adhered it to my card. I used the round tab punch from SU! for the ornament top and adhered it to the inside of my card. The cutie little elf i used is from my new CTMH set "Merry Pursuits." I added a little jingle bell onto his hat for that musical touch or to annoy those around the recipient of this card.lol I think it turned out rather well. I just might be making a couple of these to give out for Christmas. Well thats all for today. I thank you all for stopping by.

All Decked Out

I Finally got to play with my November Stamp of the Month from Close To My Heart "All Decked Out." This is such a cute set, its a build your own snowman set-so much fun. I don't know about you but when i think of snow i think of hot cocoa, so i decided to use one of Lauren Meader's -Timeless Templates music Makeover and fill it with a couple of cocoa packets. I put together my template and covered it with creative basics evensong collection dp. i added a scalloped edge and ribbon to the front flap. I stamped my paper pieced my snowmans scarf and hat with the same dp and paper pieced his gloves with cranberry cardstock. I built my snowman, sponged the sides of my image with crystal blue ink and stamped some snowflakes. i pierced some of the snow flourishes and added round sparkles randomly throughout the snow flourishes and matted my image onto cranberry cardstock , pierced the edges and added my sentiment. I adhered it to the front flap being sure to only stick the top and using velcro on the bottom to keep it shut. so there you have it a cute, simple little gift. Happy Tuesday! Here's a card i made using another image from Sweet 'n Sassy's "Child of God" set. I said it once and i'll say it again, this is such a precious set. I tried to make this card a little more elegant and i think it would work great for a younger girl making her First Holy Communion or an older girl making her Confirmation. one card / two challenges

Okay, since i'm running short on time to get my House of Mouse & friends challenge #11 card done before tomorrow's new challenge, i combined it with Friday's Sketchers sketch #26. This awesome sketch is from Jacqueline from the netherlands. The challenge for House of Mouse & friends was "that natural feeling." I really like how this card turned out, i only wish my image was bigger. Well, i thank you for stopping by, have a great night!!

Sending Christmas Wishes

Today's card was made for Amy Rysavy's friday sketch #34. I used one of Sweet 'n Sassy's October releases "Christmas Cheer" isn't this puppy just a cutie peeking out from this stocking? The only part of this stamp that i colored was the puppy, everything else was paper pieced. I just love paper piecing with this set because you can make so many different looks with the stockings. This set also comes with a kitten in a stocking and some sentiments. If you would like to try this sketch just click on the link above. This was such a fun sketch (thanks Amy) i'm sure i will be using it again. I hope you all enjoy and have a wonderful day!!! thanks so much for looking.

Child of God

I just adore this set Child of God from Sweet 'n Sassy stamps! My daughter made her First Holy Communion this year with alot of her friends and i didn't make a single card because i didn't have any religious sets. So when i saw this one i knew i had to have it. I especially like it because it not only comes with this boy kneeling but also a girl and some religious verses and sentiments. This set would be great for Scrapbook pages which i need to get started on, Holy Communion or Confirmation cards. I know this set is going to be getting alot of use here. Because this is a card for a boy, i TRIED to make this pretty simple. It could have probably gone without the ribbon, but hey what can i say -i love ribbon. Okay, well thats gonna do it for today, got lots of halloween stuff to get together. Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Mini Pizza Box

Today is another All That Scraps challenge #24, Mini Pizza Boxes. These boxes are absolutely adorable and soooo fun to make. The tutorial for this box can be found here
For my little box i used the cute bees and sentiment from the Bear Hugs stamp set from C.C. Designs. Now, still sticking to my quest of finding cute holders for gift cards i modified my pizza box and added an insert inside to hold my gift card. I figured after they use the gift card they can take out the insert and put whatever they want in it. I really like how it turned out. I hope you give this box a try they are so simple to make. Well that's it for today, i hope you enjoy this box as much as much as i enjoyed making it. Thanks so much for visiting and have a GREAT day!!
