Trick or Treat with TCC

It's Friday!!!

Are you all as Excited as i am? Two days of not getting up at 5 in the AM. Well actually three the girls have no school on Monday Woohoo!!
Okay, well now that i'm done dancing around i will get to my card. This week at The Character Cafe the challenge is a recipe challenge:

I used Pumpkin Petra for another little Halloween goodie bag i made. It's kind of hard to tell it's a bag in the picture.
Well this is my last creation for The Character Cafe as a Design Team member as i will be leaving due to personal reasons. I will definately miss all my friends i made here. :0( Thank you so much Kendra and Kelly for the opportunity to be on your team!!! :0) I will however continue to play in the challenges when time allows, so you will still be seeing quite a bit of TCC images on this blog!!

New Sketch Challenge at TCC!!

Happy Friday!!

Are you all ready for a new sketch challenge? Well we have one for you over at The Character Cafe. I used today's sketch and the Lillies digi image to make a birthday card for my Best Friend's Grandmother who's in her 90's!! so of coarse i had to make it pretty special.
I printed out two images and colored one, then cut out the petals on the other image and colored and cut them out, added foam dots and placed on top of my colored image to give it dimension. Then topped it off with lots of glitter!!! boy does it sparkle! I sure hope she likes it.

Feature Friday at The Character Cafe

Happy Friday!!!

Time for a new challenge at The Character Cafe. This week's color with a twist challenge is:

IN COLORS ~Color palette w/dimensional glaze

Of coarse if you do not have these exact colors anything close will do.

looking at these colors i instantly thought of Halloween, so i chose to use Simonstein, one of TCC's August release images. I used the dimensional glaze on Simonstein's shoes to give them more of a patent leather look. lol.

Today i'd like to show you a card i made using one of The Character Cafe's August releases, this is Fairy Syvilla Rose, isn't she just Gorgeous!!
Below is a close up, because well my camera skills stink!!

I tried to give her lots of sparkle and shine so i used some prisma glitter on her wings and added some sparkle to the rose with my glitter pen. i also added some clear glaze to some of the petals on the rose to give it a wet look. ya, you can't see it here. but looks beautiful IRL.

When your candles don't fit on your cake!! in my opinion i think the cakes are just becoming too dang small!! lol. This week at The Character Cafe the Feature Friday challenge is to make a ROUND CARD. This week is my turn to join challenges in blogland but i love making round cards so i just had to join in.

The image i used on my card is Candle Quinn a new release image from The Character Cafe. I just think this is the cutest little birthday image. i especially love the sayings this set comes with. Of coarse once again i have used my favorite... BRIGHT COLORS!! can't help it, when i think celebration i think Bright! lol. I actually made this card for one of my Best Friends for his birthday, we love to give each other a hard time and i think he will get a kick out of this card.

Another Froggin Birthday!!

It's Friday Woohoo!!! time for another Feature Friday Challenge at The Character Cafe. The challenge this week is to make a Pocket Card. I made my card using the tutorial found HERE. The image i used is another one of July's new releases, Froggin Fredrik.

Isn't he just hilarious with that smirk on his face? he just makes me laugh everytime i look at him. This Froggin Fredrik set also comes with other sayings, you definately need to take a look.

TCC Feature Friday Challenge~Gate fold card

Now, for my card i used this Gate fold tutorial with July's Newly released oh soooo adorable Birthday Spott image. I just fell in love with spott the minute i saw him. This set comes with 6 images total. one with spott all on his own and 5 more of spot holding a balloon with the numbers 1-5 in it. I chose to use the number 5 because my daughter's birthday party is this week and she just turned 5 and she loves cute little images like this. Of coarse being a birthday card i had to use bright fun colors to celebrate.

Bah Humbug

Good Morning my friends,

Well i sure hope you are reading this post right now seeing as how i had to schedule it, so i just hope it worked. LoL!!

Anyways, today is my week off from The Character Cafe challenge so i'm blogland bound looking for challenges to enter my Sassy Miss Priss Card into. The Bah Humbug sentiment is also included with one of the images in the set. I chose to cut it apart and use it on it's own.

I chose to use the Miss Priss image from The Character Cafe to enter her into the Digital Tuesday, Christmas in June Challenge. boy, by the look on her face she is not so keen on Christmas in June. a little too early for her maybe? I also used the sketch over at Truly Scrumptious for my card. I'm also going to enter her into the ABC Challenge ~X for Xtra dimension.

Feature Friday #22

Happy Friday!!!

WoW i seem to be saying that alot. these fridays are coming way too fast! LoL

Welcome to Feature Friday #22 with The Character Cafe. Today we have another technique challenge for you:

PAPER PIECING

For my card today i used the newly released Hillary Hippo image, isn't she a sweetie!! I printed her out twice, once on some flower dp from Close To My Heart and then on white cardstock. I colored in all the pieces i wanted colored with my copics first, then I cut out the flowered body from the dp and glued it to my white image. The hippo birthday sentiment is also included on one of the images. i just used my punch to separate it and added it to the top of my card. Paper piecing is so much fun, it's also a great way to use up some of that leftover dp you have laying around.

Now it's your turn, grab an image and paper piece away. Be sure to upload your creation to Mr. Linky on The Character Cafe blog before next Thurs. at Midnight. Tucker Turtle

Hello My Friends,

WOW! Friday already, can you believe it? It's going by wayyy too fast!!

well today i have a cute little critter to show you from The Character Cafe. I'd like to introduce you to Tucker, he's one of the newly released images. I just love the fact that he has a little sign hanging from his shell. This set comes with one image with a sentiment provided inside the sign and one with the sign left blank. I used the image with a blank sign and added my own sentiment inside. i added some little silver brads to give the sign a more realistic look and pop dotted the bottom to give it some dimension.

A closer look at Tucker, isn't he cute!! The sentiment i used is from one of AmyR's Stamps sentiment sets from CC Designs.

Well what do you know it's another birthday card!! the majority of my cards are birthday cards, with three girls in school my little ones are forever bringing home invitations at the spur of the moment, so i figure you can never have too many birthday cards right?

Happy Friday Everyone!! Wow these weeks are just flying by aren't they? It's time again for another Feature Friday Challenge over at The Character Cafe. This is my off week so i get to cruise blog land and enter some fabulous challenges using my Character Cafe creation. This week i chose to use the Lillies digi image. This image is so much fun to work with.I printed out two digi images, heat set, and started coloring one of the lillie images with my copics. the other digi image i just colored the four petals on the left lillie, cut them out and adhered to the top of my finished lillie image. I tried to bend the petals just a little to give them dimension. I then added my glitter to give them some sparkle and then put my card together. Not a whole lot going on here, but i really liked the end result.

Feature Friday Challenge with TCC

YaY It's Friday!!! and that means a new Feature Friday Challenge at The Character Cafe. Are you ready to play along? This week's challenge is a recipe:

I must say, i tend to have alot of trouble with recipe challenges. i'm so used to grabbing whatever i want when i make a card that i don't really pay attention to how much paper and embellishments i use, so it's hard for me to be told how much of what to use, but that's the whole idea of a challenge right? it's not supposed to be easy.

Okay well enough of my ramblings, for my card i used the ever so adorable Precious Emmy, i just love this image. Can you believe i actually made Emmy a blonde? I don't think i have ever colored any of my images with blonde hair, mainly because i try to relate them to my girls who are all brown haired so i thought it was time for a change. To tell you the truth i really like it. i'm going to have to do it more often.
