BOO!

WOOHOO it's friday!! I don't know about you but i am sooo ready for the weekend to sleep in even if it's only for a little while longer. lol. Okay so i know in an earlier post i said i had made my last Halloween card, but i had another one in me. I just could not let this cute little witch not make an appearance this halloween season, so here she is Boo Witchy from The Character Cafe. I just love her sweet little face. Now she is definately Too Cute to Spook. The sketch i used for my card came from the Stamp With Us challenge. I used some spider web paper and my paper shapers flower punch to make my flower and crinkled it up to distress it. i used my round circle punch from SU! crinckled it and ripped all the way around it and added a little spider to the middle. My orange and black cardstock is also from SU! I also tried to make my fence as close to the color Kraft for my card to be included in the digital tuesday challenge. Well, i thank you all for stopping by and i hope you all have a wonderful day!!

Rachel :0)

More Halloween Treats!!

Hello Friends, are you tired of Halloween yet? I sure hope not, because i have a couple more treats to share. The other day as i was visiting all my wonderfully talented friends blogs, i came across this cute little witch from Pixie Dust Studio. and better yet, she was a freebie. so i snatched her up and decided to make a final Halloween card. The sketch i used for my card is by my TCC DT sister Diane. but then i thought my little witch needs a cauldron so i whipped up this cauldron basket and filled it with goodies and added some crumple paper. Well, i hope you enjoy this little halloween set. I'm thinking it's my last halloween creation for this year, but ya never know. I also came across a multitude of challenges to enter these into including anything but a card which my cauldron basket quailifies for i hope it's okay that i put them together. I hope you all have a great day and a wonderful weekend!!
Hugs,
Rachel :0)

Challenges entered into:
Digital~Ink Co. challenge~anything but a card
Pals paper Arts Challenge~anything but a card

Cute card Thursday Challenge~Candy box

***3rd post for today***

Hi There!! This week at Cute Card Thursday the challenge is Candy Corn~any card or project that has candy on it. I know I know you think candy corn you think Halloween but when i saw this Moose i thought Moose poop. Lol~ and thought it would work perfect for this challenge. For my candy box i used the nugget box tutorial that holds hershey nuggets, but instead of nuggets i filled it full of Milk Duds. i've seen so many little gifties using marshmellows for snowman poop and deer poop so i thought i'd give someone some moose poop. I know my Nephew will get a kick out of it. I printed out my moose, colored and cut him out and sat him on the Merry ChristMOOSE sentiment. added some ribbon and a button and i have a fun box of candy. so be sure to go to Digital Delights and grab this fun freebie before next Friday. Thanks for stopping by and have a Great Day!!

HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS!!! well you know what that means, a new Feature Friday Challenge at The Character Cafe, and guess who your host is this week yep, it's ME!!! it's a color challenge so i hope you will join us. If you don't have any TCC images, not a problem use what you got we just want you to join us in the fun. you can find all the details here. for my card i used AmyR's Friday Sketch and TCC image Stewie Snowman. for all you snowman lovers he is so adorable and so much fun to work with. The colors i chose to use for the challenge is Tulip, Creme Brulee, Juniper (from Ctmh) and pink. I used the creative basics pattern paper. I added some glitter to Stewie for sparkle. some polar white flower soft to the bottom for snow on my melted water. i added some flat back pearls to some of my snowflakes on the pattern paper. I used my marvy punch for the snowflake embellishment added glitter to it and glue dotted a snowflake button to it. You can't tell but i also added some clear glaze over my ice cubes in the bucket. looks real nice IRL. Well, i thank you for stopping by and i hope you will come play along with us.

TCC's Feature Friday Challenge #2

Hello Friends, Well it's Friday and that means the weekend is near YaY, it also means it's Feature Friday Challenge #2 at The Character Cafe. My very talented team mate Diane is the host this week and has a fabulous sketch for you here. Since this is my week off i joined in the Flutterby Wednesday Challenge at Danni's Dreams. This week's challenge is an open challenge so as long as our creation has a butterfly or fairy on it, we are good to go. I chose to use Fairy Belle from The Character Cafe. isn't she precious. she comes with an extra pair of wings a little larger than her so i colored and glittered them up and pop dotted Belle inbetween them to give her wings dimension. of coarse i added lots of glitter to Belle, the way i see it what's a fairy without all her sparkle. My sentiment is from AmyR's Stamps by C.C.Designs. Well thank you for stopping by and i hope you will visit my wonderful TCC sisters (links on my sidebar) and take a peek at their wonderful creations this week. I also hope you will play along with the TCC sketch challenge, remember although we love when you use a TCC image it is not required, as long as you follow the theme each week. We just want to see your wonderful creations and HAVE FUN!! I hope you all have a wonderful day!!
hugs,
Rachel :0)

Just keep Swimming!!

Good Morning my friends, Today we have a brand new sketch for you, so head on over to Delightful Sketches for details. I used the Fish and Sentiment digi for my card and everytime i look at this little cutie i end up with that little song from Nemo in my head, you know the one. so of coarse i couldn't just make a regular card with her, instead i made a swinger card. The swinger mechanism makes my little fishy bob up and down when you shake the card side to side. isn't that the coolest!!! Now your probably wondering where the sentiment is, well i needed to hide the swinger mechanism so i printed it out a pretty good size and used it inside my card to cover the swinger. I matted everything and then used some real thick pop dots on all four corners so that the swinger had room to swing. I used circles for the area used to write your personal comment to mimic the bubbles, i even added some flat back pearls. If you would like to give the Swinger Card a try you can find the tutorial here.

Now remember you don't have to use Digital Delights images to participate, although we love when you do, as long as you follow the sketch and have fun, we just want to see your fabulous creations. We also have an Awesome sponsor this week. The prize is $20.00 from (click on logo to visit)
Well that's it for me, i hope to see some of your Delightful Sketch cards. this sketch will run from 10/15-10/28. I would love for you to play along. Have a Wonderful Day!!!
hugs,
Rachel :0)

Feature Friday Challenge #1 with The Character Cafe

**Edited to add: the winner of the pumpkins set from my blog during The Character Cafe blog hop is Lady Trucker. Congratulations! please send me your email address to claim your prize. **

Good Morning friends and Happy Friday!! I welcome you all to The Character Cafe's very first Feature Friday Challenge. Our host this week is Billie and what better way to start off the first challenge than with stitching. Now this can be hand, machine, or faux stitching, whatever works for you. Here is what i came up with.
Please keep in mind that this is my very first time stitching on a card or any paper craft. so my lines may look like i was drunk at the time, but trust me i was completely sober. lol. ~ for my card i used The Character Cafe Pilgrim Petra and Turkey image. i did my stitching in yellow and it's pretty hard to see but that is what my little sewing machine came with, and i couldn't find the book so i could change the thread. so yellow it is. i have since found the book, so now i can change thread colors. (you can click on photo's to get a close up).

I also made a pumpkin basket to go with my card that i also stitched together. for my basket i

cut out 5 ovals using the largest oval nestability, sponged them with autumn terecotta ink and random stamped them. I then stitched the ovals together, i made a small basket out of cardstock and adhered my pumpkin to it. i stamped some leaves and ran them through my crimper. i added the leaves to my pumpkin and used a pop dot for my middle leaf to add dimension. then i added some little branches using my Martha Stewart punch. I added my sentiment and done. very easy to make. but makes for some fun packaging. Well that's it for me,
be sure to visit The Character Cafe blog to see the more of the DT's fabulous inspiration. This is such an awesome challenge and i hope you will play along with us this week. Kendra is offering

the pumpkins and Pilgrim Petra as well as a 15% coupon to The Character Cafe shop to the winner. just add your name and link to Mr. Linky on The Character Cafe blog. Have a great night!!

Be Inspired #52 Cuttlebug Challenge

Hi there!! I'm back with my card for the Cuttlebug challenge. The theme this week is Halloween~ Fall. I used my Digital Delights R.I.P. ghost image. Since my ghost was already white i decided to cover him with prisma glitter so he could really sparkle. no hiding out for him. I used my circle nestabilities for the matting and the spiderweb embossing folder for the background and pop dotted him on. my spider is a three dimensional sticker i found in my stash. Now don't forget if you play along with the cuttlebug challenge you have a chance at a $20.00 Gift Certificate from Digital Delights by Louby Lou. Well i hope to see you there.
