Ornament Gift Card holder

The All That Scraps DT challenge #23 is a color challenge. We are to make something using Bravo Burgundy, Old Olive, and Sahara Sand. since i don't own any of those i used Vineyard Berry, Olive, and Grey Flannel. I was looking through my papercrafts magazine for some ideas for gift cards, we have so many teens within our family and they are so hard to buy for it's like anything we like they hate so gift cards it is. The good thing is now i get to create fun holders. Anyway i came across this ornament gift card holder and thought hey i can do this, so here's how it turned out. to make the ornament i used my coluzzle to cut out two large circles and ran them through my cuttlebug using the D'vine swirls embossing folder. i measured my gift card against the circles and using my coluzzle cut out a piece of the top. I adhered my circles together with scor-tape leaving the middle free so my card can slide in and out. i made my ornament topper using the round tab punch and adhered it to the gift card, then added the top piece of my ornament to it. i then slid the card in the holder and decorated. i used the holly and berries stamp to cover up the seam. be sure to only adhere to the top piece of ornament or the card won't slide out. Okay clear as mud? Well i hope you give it a try, they come out really neat and if you do be sure to post a link in the comments section so i can take a look at your wonderful creation. Thank you so much for stopping by. have a great day!!!

How CUTE!! I LOVE THIS, and am definitely going to give it a try. :)

I have a stupid question, which I hope you'll see to answer. What did you use to adhere the top of the ornament to the gift card? (I was wondering how the recipient removes the gift card to actually use it?) :)

Thanks for any help you can provide. Love your blog!! Judy
