This week's
flutterby challenge over at
Danni's Dreams was to make a scene using little or no Dp. Now i really liked this challenge because i'm more of a " if the image doesn't have a scene in it, it ain't getting one from me" person. I even have scene sets and i think this is the first time they've really been put to use. this challenge was a lot of fun so i think i will try to make my own scenes a little more often. The second half of the challenge was little or no Dp. now when i first read the challenge i must have skipped over Little because i thought it was just no Dp. boy, and i LOVE my dp. but all i can say is thank goodness for embossing folders.lol~ but these are the challenges i like because i tend to get in a rut, so the ones i think there is just no way i can do this, those are the ones i try to make myself do. so thanks Heather!! okay enought jibber jabber, onto the details. for my card i used all stamps from
C.C.Designs. the sooo cute
Swiss Pixie Gretel, my little birdie came from the
sugarplums Olivia's Birdies set. The fence is from the
Gingersnaps Spring thing set, and last but not least the little bits of grass is from the
Sugarplum scenery set. To make my scene i stamped Gretel first and then stamped her again on a piece of scrap paper, cut her out, and placed her over my original image. then i stamped my fence over her, took the mask off my gretel and wahla. then i just added some clouds, pop dotted my birdie to the fence and added some small pieces of grass. i sponged my sky and grass with ink and a cotton ball to give them color, i matted my image to a square scallop nestability, placed it over my embossed panel that i made using the
floral screen embossing folder, added some flowers and some prisma glitter to Gretel's wing and done!! Well, that's it for today, thanks so much for taking a peek. Have a Great Day!!
hugs,
Rachel
