Beached ~a Father's Day Card
Hi there, I hope you all had a great weekend. Our's was very relaxing. We got invited to a cookout on Saturday and anyday that i don't have to cook dinner is a great day for me. then we took the girls' swimming yesterday since it was the last day for the pool to be open. so we had a good family weekend. Needless to say i didn't get any crafting done till today.
I did however get two challenges done with this one card. Nina at There's Magic in the Air is giving this awesome digi image as a freebie(Thanks Nina!). The challenge is to use it with a gate fold style card. all details for this challenge can be found here.
The inside has a pocket to hold a gift card for Dad which brings me to the next challenge. Over at Bizzy Bec's Creatalicious Challenges, they are holding their very first challenge. The challenge is in honor of Father's Day next month in Australia we were to make something for dad. It has to include the color brown and have metal on it. Well that's it for me today. I hope you all stop by tomorrow. Have a Great Night!!
hugs,
Rachel

This card is awesome. You did a super job (as always) with the coloring and the layout! I love the rustic look of the background paper. Hope you had a great weekend! I know what you mean when you say anytime is great when you don't have to cook. My husband tells people that I don't know where the kitchen is in our house.
This is such a cute idea! I just love that pocket you did for the gift card! Just awesome! I love that image too!

Rachel, what a lovely card for your dad! I love that you combined the 2 challenges and what a great outcome. The overall card is just beautiful, but very masculine and the choice of embossing folder was perfect. You finished in inside off just perfect as well. I love the pocket and the letters you chose for dad. Great card! Thanks for participating in this week's challenge at TMITA!
Rachel, this is a wonderful masculine card. I struggle with them, but you have done a great job. Love the Cuttlebug embossed background. I always forget to use these embossing folders. Love your card! Hugs, Cami
